Ukraine, what's up with that

The last few days I've been tasked with learning about the current situation with Ukraine. This is the result of a hastily made wager. I've been reading up on the past, present, and future of the Ukraine. My findings although didn't scratch the surface, but my understanding is as follows.

In this corner is the Ukraine, standing at 44 and a half million people. With the rank of 21st strongest military it's nothing to cough at.  30 years ago they were apart of the USSR, they belonged to what now is Russia. When the USSR fell they got Independence and became a sovereign nation.

In the other corner is the mighty Russia, standing at 145 million people. With the rank of 2nd it's a force to be feared and respected (with only the USA stands stronger). They've been a world power since the end of WWII and are trying to hold onto their power in a world where the United States rains supreme.

The European Union recently became interested in adding Ukraine to their alliance. The Ukrainian people and most of their government was on board, only to be shut down by the President (Viktor Yanukovych). We know that there was correspondence between him and President Putin prior to the decision. On top of this there was a natural gas dispute that left 44 million people without heat in this horrid winter.

After this the Ukrainian people were furious and protested the government. Viktor Yanukovych then ordered police to open fire upon protesters which resulted in 120 deaths. The Ukrainian people then revolted and caused the President to flee to Russia.

Since Mr. Yanukovych has good relations with Mr. Putin, Mr. Yanukovych then presumably asked Mr. Putin to help regain power over Ukraine. Russia sent 16,000 troops to Crimea (a backdoor into a primarily Pro-Russian region) to regain power.

Our Secretary of State, John Kerry, is now in Ukraine to help peace talks.

What's really interesting to me is the political landscape of the situation. Most of the protesters in Ukraine are Fascist, which is a very nationalistic and very anti immigrant government. The Russians are at the other end of the spectrum, their goverment is Communist. Communism is the complete opposite of Fascism and are mortal enemies. Personally I have no idea what to think of this. Do we support a newly forming goverment that might end up to be like the Nazis? Or do we support our global enemies the Russians and allow them to invade a country? It's going to come down to the lesser of two evils.

Proving a point

"Educated people don't succum to the lure of shiny colours or attractive models, but instead look at price and need when buying something"

Is what I mentioned in my last blog post.

What I suggested by saying this is that we expect people with formal education to be able to understand scams and not be a dork and buy the product becuase a sexy Santa is advertising it. Smart people buy on reasoning and logic. If somthing is a food price or a good product then they buy it, not based on the ad.
In the book the only person with advanced formal education was Soaphead. I belive he had taken college courses in psychology. So by education standpoints he's the smartest character. But this isn't true, he's a pedophile, which isn't a good life choice. He's abusive and sick and horrible, but highly educated. This is a huge counter argument, based upon my claim you're suppost to expect educated people to be smart, or intelligent, which people arnt always even with college educations.
The only response I can give to this is that college educations are something that require some kind of intelligence. They rarely hand them out anymore, and if then you'd need vast amount of money to donate. And since intelligence equals wealth most of the time you'd need smart parents.
I'm getting off track. I don't buy clothing becuase the model is atteactive and I don't want to be like him. I don't buy a coke becuase the polar dub ear tells me to. Honestly I buy it becuase I know the reputation is good, nothing else.

Police officers and guns

11. What factors influence what you desire in life? (Think of forces such as: economic, social, historical, geographical, personal, experiential, cultural, religious,, etc.)

The media, in my opinion, is the greatest influence of modern society. With that I belive that the media openly influences what we think, and being surrounded with the pressures of consumerism to buy the latest gadgets or to pay for the best presents on Christmas causes our desires to be material based.
On the flip side normal people who are educated know what ads are pointed towards weak minded Americans. And are meant just to get them money, and not to benifit anyone but themselves. Educated people don't succum to the lure of shiny colours or attractive models, but instead look at price and need when buying somthing.
As a proud American I believe that it should be easy for everyday people to own guns. This, in a way, could be a historical force that causes me to want to own a gun because it was on the original top 10 laws for this country (bill of rights). In other countries such as England, which doesn't allow civilians to own. guns, might not have the same forces to influence them.
On the other hand he constitution was made to formulate a perfect country. The idea of civilians owning guns backs up the emergency plan of the goverment having too much power and then causing people to revolt. With the assurance to guns we're hard wired to is plan. We're also hard wired to the life of standing militia, for civilians to be able to stand up to forgein forces or enemies.

16. Do certain professions have an obligation to be more socially responsible than others? Do some professions require people to be more selfish and focused on their individual desires?

The best example I can think of that would describe a profession that requires a selfish desire would be lawyers. Lawyers are paid to defend, in a lot of cases, criminals. Lawyers might well know that their client is responsible for; rape, murder, and other horrible things. At the same time lawyers, as they are paid, need to try to keep the murders and rapists out of jail.
On the other hand lawyers think they study and practice law is essential becuase without lawyers we couldn't have fair trials, and they're essential to having a goverment like we have.
On the other side of the spectrum I find that policemen have to be the set standard of society. You might say politicians or bicycle repairmen but the public eye is constantly on police. Policemen go through academy use and study society just to be able to set the example. Policemen keep the peace in the mist of chaos, or at least are suppose to. Policemen aren't suppose to put themselves above people, or anything. The other profession I'd think would possible be better would be off service soldiers. If you ever see a soldier on a place you'd know that they're ridiculously polite and will help you with your bad and everything.
Police officers are never always loyal or good. They're talks about codes of silence that police officers unfairly have. That they'd never turn in a fellow police officer for somthing they'd do. Police officers also can be corrupt and be he opposite of law abiding.

How to disappoint someone.

Disappointment is the opposite of making someone proud. It's very easy to do. To disappoint makes your loved ones sad, and upset with you. Here are some good ways to disappoint someone.

Don't be considerate of their time
Don't tell someone if you want make it to their pasta party.
Forgot to tell them you took all of their shampoo
Don't turn in your blog on I time
Use the last of the toilet paper

Disappointment is apart of your life, people will disappoint you, and you'll disappoint people. It's impossible to prevent. The world might disappoint you, teachers will disappoint you, lovers will disappoint you. I'll disappoint you.

The world will

Keep you out of a good college
Give you a bad job
Fire you from your job
Make you live on the streets
Kill your family
Orphan you

Nothing in this world is certain, other than the hard truth that you and your loved ones will die. The order isn't up to you, but it's up to the disappointing world.

People will

Steal your money
Break your heart
Hurt you
Hurt your loved ones
Break your world
Make you sad

Disappointment can always be turned happy. Your birthday party might get rained out but you might meet a cute boy while returning balloons, breaking your knee might get you medical marijuana? That guy you hit with your car ends to be a murderer of small children running from his crime.

Disappointment is a reality, take it, for it is life.

An object you say, well well well

Ok, so I'm suppost to write about an object. So I'm gonna write about my iPad. You might be thinking "gosh, just some white boy talking about his expensive device", well you're only half true. I don't have a computer at home, so I do everything on this, including writing this post. I use Facebook, browse reddit and talk to friends all from this device. For me, it's my connection to the world, without it I'd be confined to my house and would lose out on the outside world.
Ok that's a little dramatic, but think about it. Without phones of the Internet, we would be forever in a 80ish state. Where your friend maybe would call the house phone or would just have to walk over to get your attention. I'm going a little off topic but once again, this little foot by 8 inches device keeps me sane.
This thing gives me music, movies, games, and friends. I'm a lonely child, ok come on, dry your tears and keep reading. I make a lot of friends on the Internet, you know, like what our parents told you not to do. I've always felt as if I'm missing out on knowing or even understanding diffrent cultures or ideologys. So I message and chat with people from Singapore, or Canada, or Morocco, or Pennsylvania.
I do some school work on this thing. Last year Madame Gentile let me do class work on it, and write notes and stuff. I have handwriting so bad it resembles arabic better than English, and vise-versa with writing arabic. I fear for the day I need to write an SAT essay and paint my scribbled mess across the page. But for now I type, and I'm pretty decent at it, which is fueled by my iPad.

She makes fun of old navy and khole.
She dates the quarterback of the football team, known as polo.
Pink doesn't do we'll in school,
Pink is mean

When thrift died from lung cancer she still had the other pinks raise menu for breast cancer. To her thrift's problems mean nothing.
Everything Pink owns is pink, from her socks to her backpack, why? Because its Pink. Pink pencil cases, Pink gym bags, Pink hairbands.
Pink doesn't work, she gets maintained.
Pink's father's name is J, or Mr. Crew. He works hard to keep Pink, he suffers for her, and for his wife Pink.

Pink drives an expensive car, one mr. Crew got her.

With such a life you wonder if she'll go to college, of course she will, J got her a ticket. She'll join a sorority and meet other pinks, and she'll end up getting a nursing job. Is this the end of pink? Gosh no, she'll get pink scrubs. And she'll marry a Polo or a Crew.

Don't worry about Pink. Because she won't worry about you.
